Unprecedented Growth + Rock-Bottom State Funding= 2020 Ballot Issue

Published on Tuesday, November 05, 2019

Predominantly due to both rock-bottom state funding and our district’s projected enrollment growth, the Olentangy School Board voted tonight to begin the process to put a combined 7.9 mill issue on the March 17, 2020 ballot. The ballot issue will include bond funding to build two elementary schools, one middle school, and will include other projects such as upgrading security and making playgrounds ADA compliant, all at no additional millage for taxpayers. The permanent improvement portion of the levy will provide additional funding to maintain existing facilities, and the operating funding will be used to continue Olentangy's excellence. OFK will provide more information in the coming days and weeks.
